šŸ• Meet the Human Behind the Tent

Hi, I’m Malinda—and no, I didn’t grow up in the woods or get raised by squirrels (though honestly, that would explain a lot). I started camping because life fell apart in a hospital room, and I needed somewhere quiet to figure out how to keep going.

My mom got really sick. I didn’t leave her side for over two weeks. She passed away in that same hospital, and everything shifted. I wasn’t looking for a hobby. I was looking for a lifeline that didn’t come with fluorescent lights or stale vending machine Pop-Tarts.

So I pitched a tent, sat under the stars, and remembered how to breathe again.

That’s where this blog started—out of grief, grit, and one very crooked campsite.

Now, I write for anyone who’s ever needed fresh air and a fresh start.

If you want to know the full story (with more emotion and fewer punchlines), read Grief, Strength, and the Promise I Made. It’s not sugar-coated, but it’s honest. And maybe, just maybe, it’ll help you feel a little less alone.
